Marqués de Vitoria Reserva 2022 arrives preceded by the success of the previous vintage: the Reserva 2021 conquered the Platinum Medal, the highest award, at the Decanter Awards 2025, the world’s most prestigious wine competition. A distinguished Rioja with the stamp of Familia Martínez Zabala.
Marqués de Vitoria Reserva 2022 is produced by Marqués de Vitoria, the boutique winery owned by Familia Martínez Zabala (formerly Grupo Faustino) in Rioja Alavesa. It is crafted entirely from Tempranillo grapes from its estate in Oyón and has a 12-month ageing in French and American oak barrels.
Favorable weather conditions throughout the entire growing season and the excellent sanitary state of the grapes—key factors in ensuring wine quality—resulted in a 2022 harvest that yielded red wines of great aromatic intensity, structure, and color, possessing excellent aging potential and a distinct aromatic expression.

Clean and bright, with a lovely cherry-red colour that evolves towards garnet and a medium body.
Nose
Good intensity on the nose with pleasant notes of red fruit and woodland, well integrated with maturation. Hints of evolution in bottle (cedar).
Mouth
Good intensity and complexity. Balanced. Fine tannin but with good acidity. Final long with fruity and oak notes.
