A great wine that celebrates a renowned label of Spanish wine. Marqués de Cáceres Edición Especial Reserva 2021 is an exclusive Rioja created only in the best vintages and designed to impress, from a winery renowned internationally.
Marqués de Cáceres Edición Especial Reserva 2021 (vintage Very Good) is an exclusive red wine crafted in collaboration with the enological team of this renowned Rioja winery. It comes from a careful selection of old vineyards in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, harvested manually, plot by plot, at their optimal ripeness.
The production of this Rioja red wine includes fermentation at controlled temperature and prolonged maceration with the skins to achieve intense colour, elegant aromas, and a soft tannic texture. The malolactic fermentation takes place both in American oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 20 months in American oak barrels—half new and half of one or two previous uses—and is further refined with a minimum of two more years of ageing in bottle.
This Reserva was launched in 2014 as an unprecedented collaboration between Vinoselección and Marqués de Cáceres, gradually becoming one of the most admired wines among our customers. It reflects the style that has made Bodegas Marqués de Cáceres (established 1970) a household name. It is well known within Spain and internationally, as it is, alongside Torres, the most globalised Spanish winery.

Tasting notes
View
It displays a bright and well-layered colour, with an intense cherry hue.
Nose
In the nose, it stands out for its refined and open character, with predominant aromas of ripe red fruit, complemented by a delicate mineral note. The ageing is perceived through elegant toasted hints and light cocoa reminiscences, well integrated into the overall profile.
Mouth
On the palate, it is harmonious and silky, with a balanced structure and well-integrated tannins that add volume without sacrificing finesse. The acid is precise and fresh, prolonging the sensation in the mouth, leading to a persistent finish with fruity hints and a subtle spicy touch.
