Mar de Frades 2024 is a Galician white wine made from grapes grown in the heart of the Salnés Valley, an authentic area where the Albariño varietal expresses itself with the greatest purity. The harvest was carried out manually, and once in the winery, the grape clusters were sorted on a selection table to ensure only the best grapes made up this white wine. The must fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts that help preserve the expression of the terroir. Subsequently, the wine rested and aged on its lees until bottling, gaining volume and creaminess.
The Mar de Frades winery is part of the group of wineries led by the Rioja-based Ramón Bilbao (Zamora Company). In 2007, Mar de Frades renovated a classic winery and inaugurated facilities equipped with the latest technologies, located in Meis (Pontevedra). Alongside them lies a magnificent Albariño vineyard: the Finca Valiñas, which stretches across the slope of a hill overlooking the Salnés Valley.
Mar de Frades 2024 is a wine from the D.O. Rías Baixas that pairs perfectly with raw fish such as tuna tartare, all kinds of seafood, seafood rice dishes, octopus, and Japanese cuisine.
