Malleolus is a 100% tempranillo born from one of the most emblematic pagos of Bodegas Emilio Moro, in Pesquera de Duero. A high-expression Ribera del Duero perfected with a measured aging in French oak barrels. Expressive and elegant, on the palate it is broad and meaty, with polished tannins and a long aftertaste.

Malleolus is a 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) from a plot located in Pesquera de Duero, with clay-limestone-stony soil. It macerates with the grape skins for 15-20 days, and the malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine ages in French oak barrels until bottling.
Emilio Moro wines are a 'must' from Ribera del Duero and enjoy international prestige. Year after year, Malleolus is rated above 90 points by the most influential wine magazines in the world.
Located in Pesquera de Duero, in a privileged enclave of the Ribera del Duero, Bodegas Emilio Moro is the project of a family of winemakers with a tradition spanning several generations, which has succeeded in placing its wines among the most highly rated in the global wine market.
Bodegas Emilio Moro is committed to producing terroir wines, convinced that it is the soil that gives personality. Their wines are marketed outside the traditional categories (Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva), opting for greater freedom and giving each wine an aging process determined by the characteristics of the harvest.
Bodegas Emilio Moro is among the wineries that have most contributed to showcasing the excellence of Ribera del Duero wines beyond our borders. It is the story of a family of winemakers with a tradition spanning several generations, who have managed to position their wines among the most highly regarded worldwide; in fact, it was recently nominated for the Best European Winery award by the influential American magazine ‘Wine Enthusiast,’ which recognized it as the best in Spain. Located in Pesquera de Duero, in a privileged enclave of the Ribera del Duero, it is currently led by Javier Moro (president), heir to the love for wine of his grandfather and father, both named Emilio.
This Valladolid-based winery has always been committed to producing wines deeply connected to their terroir, convinced that it is the soil that gives them personality. It owns nearly 400 hectares of its own vineyards, planted and grafted with a clone of tempranillo recovered from its oldest vines, which undoubtedly provides fruits of extraordinary quality, with great color, character, and nuances. Among the most emblematic plots of the winery are Resalso (planted in 1933, the year Emilio Moro, father of the current owners, was born); Valderramiro, with the oldest vines of the winery and the cradle of the great wine Malleolus de Valderramiro; Sanchomartín and Camino Viejo, from which the red wine Malleolus is born.
In 2016, Bodegas Emilio Moro embarked on a new project, for the first time, outside Ribera del Duero, under the Bierzo designation of origin, where they have three labels. Since 2023, they have owned a winery in the area. Currently, they have over 60 hectares dedicated to the godello grape.
