Lorea Chardonnay 2025 is a magnificent varietal that demonstrates the perfect adaptation of the esteemed French-origin white grape to the lands of Navarre. Night harvesting to preserve the acidity and freshness of the grapes, along with the exclusive use of free-run juice to ensure maximum preservation of varietal aromas, resulted in a vibrant white wine brimming with youthful exuberance.
Lorea Chardonnay 2025 is a white wine produced by the family-owned winery Viña Zorzal Wines, under the D.O. Navarra designation, from a meticulous selection of chardonnay grapes grown on clay-limestone soils. This white wine from Navarra, deeply rooted in its terroir, stands out for its freshness and balance, its good volume on the palate, and its persistent finish.
Viña Zorzal Wines is a family winery located in the town of Corella (Navarra). Founded in 1989 by the brothers Xabier, Mikel, and Iñaki Sanz, Viña Zorzal has established itself as one of the most prominent wineries in the region, thanks to its commitment to quality and innovation in winemaking. The philosophy of Viña Zorzal is based on producing authentic and unique wines that reflect the character of the terroir and the native grape varieties of the area. To achieve this, the winery owns vineyards in the highest-altitude areas of Navarra, which allow them to obtain high-quality grapes with excellent varietal expression, such as those used to craft Lorea Chardonnay 2025.
After a manual nighttime harvest in the winery's own vineyards in Fitero, the production of Lorea Chardonnay involved cold fermentation of the free-run juice in stainless steel tanks. Both processes helped preserve the natural aromas and flavors of the grape. Finally, the wine was racked, stabilized, and bottled in its full youth and purity.
Certified under the D.O. Navarra, Lorea Chardonnay is a fragrant and refreshing chardonnay, ideal for pairing with fish, seafood, salads, and light dishes. To fully enjoy its qualities, we recommend serving it at a temperature between 8 and 10ºC.

Tasting notes
Light and bright yellow color with greenish tones.
Clean nose with medium intensity, dominated by aromas of lemon and pineapple alongside soft notes of honey.
Voluminous, dry and yet fresh on the palate, where the white fruit detected on the nose is present with a mineral touch. Long and refreshing finish.
Viña Zorzal Wines is the winemaking project of Antonio Sanz and his sons Iñaki, Xabier, and Mikel. After a lifetime dedicated to wine and producing since 1989, Sanz joined his sons in 2007 to establish a family winery focused on the care and attention to the vineyard and the creation of honest, fresh, and distinct wines.
The Sanz family owns 40 hectares of vineyards and benefits from the expertise of the renowned Aragonese winemaker Jorge Navascués, an expert in garnacha vinification. In fact, this variety is predominant in the plots managed by Viña Zorzal Wines. Among their holdings are some of the oldest garnacha vines in the D.O. Navarra, planted in the Fitero area before the phylloxera outbreak, 115 years ago. The rest of the winery's cultivation includes graciano, tempranillo, garnacha blanca, and chardonnay, extending also into the neighboring Rioja Alavesa.
