LoAlto Parcela El Guindal 2024 is a red made from Garnacha for those who enjoy wines with personality, but without being brash. It originates from spontaneous fermentation with varying percentages of whole clusters, first in cement tanks, then it rests for 8 months in French oak foudres. Released to the market without clarification and with a light filtration. A measured piece of work. And you can tell.
It comes from Plot El Guindal, in the Casa Lo Alto area, with a southeast orientation and soils that are clayey, calcareous and sandy in texture. The vines, planted over 40 years ago, are hand-harvested and have learned to seek water deep underground to withstand demanding summers and end-of-season nights with character. From there comes much of its identity: precise fruit, a mineral backbone and a very distinctive sense of balance.
Bodegas Murviedro shapes this project with a clear idea: to respect the origin as much as possible and let the plot speak for itself. LoAlto Parcela El Guindal 2024 succinctly sums up that philosophy, with a calm production and a serene personality, the sort that wins you over gradually.
Pairing
LoAlto Parcela El Guindal 2024 pairs very well with roast lamb, beef cheeks, roast suckling pig, or a duck breast, because its dark fruit, notes of wild herbs and its spicy undertone support savoury and juicy dishes.

Climate
LoAlto Parcela El Guindal 2024 is set in an environment with a Mediterranean climate characterised by extremes. The winters at Casa Lo Alto are wet and cold, spring arrives cloudy and mild, and summer brings high temperatures followed by storms at the end of the season, a contrast that forces the vine to adapt and to seek water at great depths.
Viticulture
The vineyard, planted more than 40 years ago, is harvested by hand to carefully select the grapes of Garnacha Tinta that faithfully reflect the place of origin. The fieldwork responds to a traditional approach attentive to the vine's natural balance, without resorting to cultivation methods indicated in the available information.
