Legaris Verdejo 2025 is an innovative white wine that stands out for its perfect combination of elegant floral aromas and fruity intensity. A young and modern style wine, which in its first vintage won a gold medal at the New Wave Spanish Wine Awards.

Legaris Verdejo 2025 is crafted from a blend of grapes sourced from different vineyards: the old vines of Segovia provide the wine with a balance between aromatic intensity and breadth on the palate; the vines of Valladolid, on the other hand, contribute intensity and a wide range of nuances. These vineyards are located at an altitude of 700 to 850 meters above sea level, on brown, stony soils with good aeration and drainage.

Bodegas Legaris is one of the most representative and modern wineries in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. It has nearly 100 hectares of vineyards spread across two municipalities: Curiel de Duero and San Martín de Rubiales. Additionally, the winery manages a vineyard area of 2100 hectares supplied by around 300 grape growers. Thanks to this exceptional raw material, they manage to produce unique, modern wines that reflect the character of each region, such as this Legaris Verdejo, a fantastic white wine that was the winery's pioneer in the D.O. Rueda.

Its vinification process stands out for a mechanical night harvest and grape reception in a hopper. After destemming and a peculiar maceration in the press for about 4 hours, alcoholic fermentation takes place at a low temperature with previously selected yeasts. The result of this meticulous vinification could not be better: a great white wine with an aromatic explosion of white fruits and citrus, a floral elegance that amplifies on the palate, and a bitter finish characteristic of the verdejo grape variety. Legaris Verdejo 2025 pairs perfectly with a variety of tapas, rice dishes, salads, and fish.

Tasting notes

Legaris Verdejo displays a straw yellow color with golden highlights.

On the nose, it is clean and intense, with citrus notes, white fruit, and subtle herbal nuances such as anise and fennel.

On the palate, it is broad and flavorful, with the characteristic bitter finish of the Verdejo variety.

The winery

Bodegas Legaris
Legaris Winery, part of the Raventós Codorníu group, is located in Curiel de Duero (Valladolid), one of the most privileged areas for cultivating the Tempranillo variety in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. Designed by Domingo Triay, the renowned architect envisioned a building that maintains the connection between the exterior and the interior: the luminous vineyard landscape effortlessly blends into the intimate interior of a winery that is fully functional for the winemaking processes.
