Born from a selection of high-altitude old vineyards, Izadi Larrosa 2025 lives up to its name and reveals itself as a pleasant and fresh rosé with fragrant subtlety.

Izadi Larrosa 2025 has its select origin in Villabuena de Álava, from a chosen handful of old garnacha vineyards, with an average age of 60 years, planted as bush vines at 790 meters above sea level, one of the highest altitudes in the D.O.Ca. Rioja.

The rosé from Bodegas Izadi is a new demonstration of the combination of precision viticulture, based on high-quality production and low yields, and masterful winemaking that adapts to the peculiarities of each variety worked.

To achieve this Izadi Larrosa 2025, the selected grapes, after being destemmed and lightly crushed, were fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The characteristic rosé tone of the wine was obtained through the traditional bleeding method. The result of this process is an elegant and luscious wine that is ideal for enjoying on its own or as a companion to all kinds of starters. It also pairs well with foie and oysters, sushi, rice dishes, or grilled fish.

Tasting notes

Izadi Larrosa boasts a beautiful pale pink color with violet hues. Intense aroma of red fruits; strawberry, raspberry, cherry; also white flowers and hints of stone fruits like peach and apricot. Intense and pleasant on the palate, with fresh fruit notes and floral touches. Subtle and persistent, with good acidity and an everlasting finish.

The winery

Bodegas Izadi
Winery

Founded in 1987 by Gonzalo Antón, Izadi belongs to the second wave of wineries that, in the 1990s, placed Rioja at the forefront of modernity, with a philosophy that prioritizes viticulture, terroir, and vineyard care: the grape as the foundation and main protagonist.

Located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, within the triangle formed by Villabuena, Lapuebla, and Samaniego, Izadi produces wines praised by international critics. It has 187 hectares of vineyards (70 of them owned), distributed across small plots, each with its own unique characteristics and subject to meticulous monitoring. These are old vineyards with high-quality production and low yields. Following this, the winemaking process is based on grape selection and careful, measured aging in barrels from the most renowned oak forests and cooperages.

Izadi was the original winery of the Grupo Artevino, now led by Lalo Antón, son of Gonzalo.
