Vines over 60 years old from parcels located in Puligny-Montrachet and Corpeau, in Burgundy, are responsible for producing the single-varietal pinot noir François Carillon Bourgogne Rouge 2022. A splendid youthful and very structured wine, fermented in French oak barrels (10% new) where it subsequently aged for 12 months.
The Carillon family winery has been documented in the lands of Puligny-Montrachet since the 16th century. Traditionally representative of Burgundy whites, it is in this region where the centuries-old domaine established itself to produce great 1er Cru and Grand Cru wines. Domaine François Carillon works its vineyards with sustainable farming methods and achieves wines characterized by their balance, finesse, and great aging potential.
François Carillon Bourgogne Rouge 2022 pairs perfectly with red meats, game birds, and cheeses.
Ruby red color with orange reflections, clean and bright.
On the nose, it is frank, expressive, and enveloping. Aromas of young red and black fruits (blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries) appear, followed by spicy notes.
On the palate, it is youthful, fruity, well-structured, and with very soft tannins.
