Finca Racons 2018 is a unique white wine produced in a vineyard of the same name, covering 1.8 hectares, at over 700 meters above sea level. With agriculture based on biodynamic principles, macabeo grapes from old vines are cultivated to create this single varietal by Tomàs Cusiné, a white wine that stands out for its sophistication and body.
The winery Tomàs Cusiné began its journey in 2003 with the aim of producing characterful wines that faithfully define the expression of the territory, using the knowledge that winemaker Tomàs Cusiné has of the D.O. Costers del Segre. In recent years, the winery has been meticulously working the vineyard, applying precision winemaking. Tomàs Cusiné has 30 hectares of his own vineyard, which is cultivated in an ecological and sustainable manner.
For the production of Finca Racons (D.O. Costers del Segre), a manual harvest is carried out in boxes with strict grape selection and subsequent cooling. Low production for maximum expression. Once in the winery, the fermentation and aging process takes place in a 2000-liter French oak vat and a 500-liter barrel with its lees. With a limited production of 3000 bottles, Finca Racons 2018 is ideal to accompany all kinds of appetizers.
Golden yellow color, clean and bright.
Fresh nose, with aromas of white fruit, pear, and hints of pineapples, mandarin, and hojaldre.
On the palate, it is fresh and fatty, intense, smooth, and round, with great depth and a long finish.
This boutique winery is the first independent project of Tomàs Cusiné in the village of El Vilosell. In 2003, after gaining the necessary experience in wineries such as Castell del Remei and Cérvoles, the winemaker decided to embark on his own wine adventure in the region of Les Garrigues.
The purpose of this winery is to craft characterful wines that represent the expression of the territory, leveraging Tomàs Cusiné's knowledge of the D.O. Costers del Segre. In recent years, the winery has been prioritizing vineyard work and precision winemaking.
Currently, it produces wines under the denominations of origin Costers del Segre, Conca de Barberà, and Monsant.
This winery has 30 hectares of vineyards, which are managed organically and sustainably. In addition to its own vineyards, there are another 70 hectares from associated winegrowers in the same area.
As a winemaker, Tomàs Cusiné demonstrates his mastery in wine blending and is recognized as an expert in this field, with over 30 harvests of experience. In short, he is one of the most renowned winemakers on the current scene, with a total production of 1,200,000 bottles, half of which are exported to more than 40 countries worldwide.
