Vallejo 2022 reaffirms the quality we have always expected from Bodega Bela, a label that in a few years has established itself among the region’s leading names. It is a single-varietal Tempranillo that comes from plots chosen in the Peñaranda area, one of the most sought-after enclaves of Ribera del Duero. Its 12-month ageing in French oak provides structure and elegant nuances, without masking the ripe fruit nor the depth typical of the great reds from the area. A wine with aromatic intensity, smooth tannins and a magnificent balance.
For its part, Pradorey 10 Meses 2024 is an exclusive release signed by a titan of Ribera del Duero: Bodegas Pradorey. This prestigious firm, which at the Real Sitio de Ventosilla estate, formerly owned by kings, cultivates the largest vineyard in the denomination, creates this red from a selection of plots. Its varietal recipe comprises 85% Tempranillo and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and is perfected with 10 months ageing in barrel.
We finish with Tionio, one of the most emblematic bodegas in the Raventós Codorníu group. Its name, inspired by the Latin term that designated the most authentic wine (“tionio”), reflects its commitment to purity and excellence. For the fourth consecutive year, it honours us with an exclusive edition that has won over many: Tionio Edición Especial 2024. It has a light spell of 3 months in American and French oak barriques, and on the nose it reveals notes of ripe black fruit and toasted nuances. On the palate it is a ripe and elegant wine.
