A story of success in the most coveted Ribera del Duero
In the full swing of the Ribera del Duero boom, Tábula (2002) is born, and soon establishes itself as one of the leading names of the moment. Its wines are applauded by the most influential critics. Discover them with Damana Reserva 2022, a modern Reserva with origins in the ‘golden mile’ of the denomination.
All wines that rise in the ‘golden mile’ of Ribera del Duero stand out for their great uniqueness, such as Damana Reserva 2022. A wine that hails the Tempranillo variety (or Tinta Fina, as it is called in the area). It comes from one of the most privileged areas of the D.O., in Olivares de Duero.
Damana Resrva 2022 is produced from 100% Tempranillo vines, aged between 20 and 30 years, rooted in clay‑loam soils, and hand harvested, with yields not exceeding 4,500 kg/ha. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at controlled temperature over twelve days, followed by malolactic fermentation in tank. Finally, the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels (90%) and American (10%).
Bodegas y Viñedos Tábula was established in 2002 thanks to the drive of José Luis Muñoz Olmos, supported by a group of Castilian-Leonese businessmen. Two decades of activity that have been enough for it to be recognised, not only in our country but beyond its borders, thanks, among other reasons, to its perfect interpretation of the Tempranillo variety. Located in Olivares de Duero (Valladolid), it currently has 70 hectares of own vineyard, where its Finca La Morejona stands out, only four hectares, planted between 1959 - the first - and 1999, the three remaining.
