Rioja rosé in the style of the 'claret' from Bordeaux's Médoc
Cune Rosado 2025 is a pleasant and sweet wine produced by the CVNE group from tempranillo grapes grown in their vineyards in Sajazarra, Ascazarra, and Cerecillo (Rioja Alta). Certified under the D.O.Ca. Rioja, this rosé with delightful aromas of gummies and red fruits and a smooth, fruity palate pairs perfectly with all kinds of appetizers, rice dishes, pasta, legumes, and blue fish.
Cune Rosado 2025 is the heir to one of the first labels launched by Bodegas CVNE when, in the 19th century, an unexpected spelling error between the U and the V led to the inevitable creation of the iconic Cune brand.
Cune Rosado 2025 has been crafted from Tempranillo grapes sourced from vineyards aged between 8 and 20 years, planted in trellis systems on fresh, clay-loam soils in Rioja Alta. The grapes were hand-harvested and placed in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 10-12 ºC to prevent fermentation. After achieving its characteristic strawberry color, the must is bled between 24 and 48 hours after vatting to begin fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16-18 ºC, with the aim of preserving the varietal aromas and fruity character to the fullest. The result is a rosé under the D.O.Ca. Rioja, with a profile reminiscent of the famous clarets of the Médoc in Bordeaux. A luscious, fruity, and silky rosé, the perfect wine to pair with all kinds of appetizers, rice dishes, oily fish, and seafood.
CVNE is one of Spain's major conglomerates, with several wineries spread across the peninsula, and Bodegas CVNE is its alma mater. Based in the Barrio de la Estación in Haro, it is one of the pioneer wineries of the region and a flagship of Rioja wines on an international level.

Creators' opinion
Cune Rosado is a strawberry red wine with a high aromatic intensity, reminiscent of youth, where aromas of red licorice, strawberries, and raspberries stand out. On the palate, it is an easy-drinking wine. Its passage through the palate is smooth, marked by the creaminess that provides length and freshness. The aftertaste is lively and fruity.
