Produced by the winery Portal del Montsant, Bruberry 2023 is crafted from vineyards aged between 20 and 50 years, planted on east and southeast-facing slopes, in clay-limestone and licorella soils. This privileged environment, located in the D.O. Montsant, gives the wine a unique identity, marked by minerality and freshness.
This single-varietal garnacha is vinified with minimal intervention, fermenting in stainless steel tanks and undergoing aging on lees to enhance its texture and complexity. The result is a young red with aging, vibrant and expressive, capturing the essence of the terroir.
On the nose, it reveals great aromatic intensity with notes of wild berries, earthy nuances, fresh herbs, and subtle spicy touches. On the palate, it is fresh and silky, with hints of raspberries, redcurrants, blackberries, and blueberries, and a long and pleasant finish.
Bruberry 2023 is an ode to Mediterranean garnacha, crafted with respect for tradition and the landscape, designed for those seeking wines with soul and character. In fact, it pairs perfectly with dishes like tagliatelles with meat and tomato sauce, butifarra, and aged goat cheeses.
The aim of Portal del Montsant is to showcase, through its wines, the character, expression, and the purest essence of the cariñenas and garnachas typical of the region. These grapes are sourced from small plots with controlled production and are vinified and worked separately to extract the maximum potential from each of them.
The wines from this winery hark back to the origins of viticulture in the region and take their name from Saint Bruno of Cologne, founder of the monastic order of the Carthusian monks of Escaladei and responsible for the beginning of viticulture in the area.
