General Information

Bruberry 2021 is made with garnacha from the municipality of La Figuera in Tarragona, in the northern area of the D.O. Montsant. Cultivated at an altitude of 300 m, the garnacha vines are influenced by a Mediterranean climate with some continental characteristics that leave their mark on the wine, endowing it with magnificent acidity and fresh fruit aromas.

One of the most powerful winery groups in the country, Raventós Codorníu, founded Portal del Montsant in 2003, in the same location as the old cooperative of Marcà. The winery bases its work on the production of the region's local grapes: garnacha and cariñena.

Bruberry 2021 (D.O. Montsant) pairs very well with legume and game dishes.

Creators' opinion

The winery

Portal del Montsant

The aim of Portal del Montsant is to showcase, through its wines, the character, expression, and the purest essence of the cariñenas and garnachas typical of the region. These grapes are sourced from small plots with controlled production and are vinified and worked separately to extract the maximum potential from each of them.

The wines from this winery hark back to the origins of viticulture in the region and take their name from Saint Bruno of Cologne, founder of the monastic order of the Carthusian monks of Escaladei and responsible for the beginning of viticulture in the area.
