Aventura 2024 is a subtle and fresh red wine made from traditional Alentejo varieties. Modern in style, both inside and out, its creator Susana Esteban sought to capture the elegant evolution of the wines from this Portuguese wine region.

Susana Esteban Aventura 2024 is a young red wine made from a blend of Portuguese grape varieties, prominently featuring touriga nacional and aragones, better known in Spain as garnacha. Aventura 2024 presents itself as a fresh and elegant wine, both on the palate and in aroma, with an incredible aging potential.
After several years working as a consultant for Portuguese wineries, winemaker Susana Esteban found the ideal region to craft her own wines in Alentejo in 2009. Her philosophy is based on respecting the grape variety and the land, avoiding blending plots and experimenting with different winemaking techniques. The effort of this Galician-born winemaker was quickly rewarded when she was named Winemaker of the Year in Portugal in 2011, becoming the only woman and the only foreigner to receive this recognition.
It has a beautiful purplish color.
On the nose, it stands out for its fresh and floral aromas that blend perfectly with fresh and balanced fruit.
On the palate, it is a fruity, polished, and silky wine. With firm tannins balanced by a refreshing acidity.
Born in Tuy (Pontevedra), Susana Esteban holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a master's degree in Enology from the University of La Rioja. She began working as an enologist at Quinta do Côtto (Douro) in 1999, and in 2002 she moved to Quinta do Crasto, where she worked as an enologist until 2007.
A consultant for various wineries in Alentejo (Portugal), at the end of 2009 Susana decided to embark on her personal project, with the determination to produce wines full of character and with a unique style slightly removed from the traditional techniques of Alentejo. In 2011, she discovered two small vineyards that laid the foundation for her two wines: In Portalegre, she found an old mixed plantation of several different varieties, with very low yields, providing an astonishing complexity and freshness. By blending these two vineyards, she managed to create "Procura."
Susana Esteban has joined forces with her good friend and fellow enologist Sandra Tavares to craft wines together. The first wine that emerged from the Esteban&Tavares partnership was the red Crochet, and more recently, in 2014, they launched Tricot, made in Susana Esteban's winery in Alentejo.
