Attis Pedral 2019 is a red wine made from the grape that gives it its name, a very minority variety that is only found in Galicia and northern Portugal. Attis Bodega y Viñedos bets on it to create a wine of surprising elegance, freshness, and balsamic touch.

Delicate and subtle, Attis Pedral 2019 is part of the line of single-varietal reds that Attis Bodega y Viñedos produces with native Galician grapes, some of which are practically forgotten and disappeared.
Specifically for the production of this wine, the firm, founded in 2000 in the Valle del Salnés, one of the best areas of the D.O. Rías Baixas, used pedral grapes, a variety that gives very aromatic, light, smooth, fruity, and balsamic reds. After manually selecting the best fruits from their trellised vines, the alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts in open 500-liter barrels, the maceration, and the spontaneous malolactic fermentation, the process culminated with 12 months of aging in French oak barrels.
Although its foundation, as we know it today, took place in the year 2000, the history of Attis Bodega y Viñedos goes back almost half a century. The humble albariño vineyards of the Fariña family are at the origin of a project that, today, thanks to growing production, has expanded in vineyard, cultivated local varieties (also giving way to reds), and facilities. From the small village of Meaño, in the most Atlantic subzone of the D.O., brothers Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña, together with French winemaker Jean François Hébrand, lead the firm. A house that imprints its own character on its wines, with respect for typicity as its hallmark. An example of this is this Attis Pedral 2019, with a very limited production (less than 1000 bottles). Its good acidity and spicy notes make it a good option to enjoy both by the glass and accompanying stewed or grilled fish and white meats in sauce.
On the nose, it is complex and very fine. Predominance of red fruit, spices, and mineral touches.
Subtle, delicate, and round on the palate. Very velvety tannins. Elegant.
