Attis Atalante 2024
Attis Atalante 2024 perfectly showcases the dual profile of the Galician native grape caíño blanco with which it is made. A balanced combination of freshness and delicacy, intensity and volume. Extremely limited production.

Attis Atalante 2024 is a creation of Attis Bodega y Viñedos, which, true to its spirit and identity, enjoys drawing on Greek mythology to name and explain its wines. In the case of Attis Atalante, the caíño blanco variety, with which it is entirely made, perfectly represents, for the Galician winery, the duality of Atalanta, the lioness that guided the chariot of Attis, lover of the goddess Cybele. This grape, native to the lands of Pontevedra, exhibits, on one hand, a fresh, delicate, and floral character that evokes the young woman from the myth, and on the other, reveals the intensity and strength of the fierce lioness she became.
Attis Bodega y Viñedos crafts its unique single-varietal Attis Atalante with caíño blanco grapes from a vineyard planted on granite and clay soils, arranged in trellises (traditional pergolas), at 80 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Valle del Salnés. Its production includes manual harvesting and selection of the grapes, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in French oak barrels, and subsequent aging in these barrels, with its fine lees and batonnage, for 12 months. This time in wood precisely gives the wine complexity and volume, which complement the lightness, aromaticity, and good acidity inherent to the varietal. All these qualities make Attis Atalante the ideal option to pair with creamy and intense cheeses, the most flavorful seafood, and meaty fish.
The recovery of minority and/or almost extinct native varieties is one of the commitments of Attis Bodega y Viñedos, a winery founded in 2000 by brothers Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña. From one of the best subzones of the D.O. Rías Baixas, they produce wines that represent the most Atlantic flavor of Galicia. This is the case of this Attis Atalante 2024, which the Club presents to you, a white wine with great aromatic potential and aging capacity but limited production (fewer than 1,000 bottles). A small gem worth discovering.

Attis Atalante displays a bright yellow color with golden highlights.
A very complex nose, dominated by white flowers and intense mineral notes. Fresh and delicate.
Great acidity and a very mineral profile on the palate. Fine with a long and persistent finish.
