Áster Finca El Caño Reserva 2020 + Medrano Irazu Colección de Familia Reserva 2019
Áster Finca El Caño Reserva 2020 is a spectacular tempranillo monovarietal that has been perfected over 12 months in French oak and produced only for us. It is a broad, voluminous wine with a very good structure. It was created from one of the best harvests that there has been in Ribera del Duero in the last decade, 2020, classified as Excellent by the Regulatory Council.
Due to its organoleptic characteristics, Áster Finca El Caño Reserva 2020 will pair well with a thousand wonderful dishes such as roast suckling pig or lamb.
Medrano Irazu Colección de Familia Reserva 2019 is made 100% with tempranillo. The grapes come from vineyards located in Laguardia and Elvillar (Rioja Alavesa), with clay-lime soils. The harvest was carried out manually in small crates of 12kg to take the greatest care of the fruit. Once in the winery, destemmed and crushed, fermentation took place for 20 days at a controlled temperature with a maximum of 28ºC in stainless steel tanks. Daily pumping over was carried out to obtain a good extraction of colour and tannins.
The resulting wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and refined for a minimum of 10 months more in bottles before being launched.
