Arindo 2024 is a white wine made entirely from Verdejo vines located in the vineyards of Bodegas Shaya in the west of Segovia, within the D.O. Rueda. Sandy soils covered with pebbles have infused their essence into a very pleasant and easy-to-drink white, making it the perfect companion for shellfish, fish, cooked seafood, creams, and white meat.

Arindo 2024 is a light and refreshing single-varietal Verdejo crafted by Bodegas Shaya in the lands of Segovia. A wine that showcases great qualities as a result of a careful grape selection and meticulous winemaking in the winery. The vinification was carried out in stainless steel tanks for 25 days at a maximum temperature of 15ºC. Once the fermentation process was completed, the wine was left to round off in refrigerated tanks until bottling. The result is a white wine that stands out for its freshness and pleasant finish.

Bodegas Shaya is an initiative by the Juan Gil Family Estates Group in the Segovia region, aiming to produce quality wines with Verdejo, one of the most successful grape varieties in our country. The winery was founded in 2008 and currently owns over 30 hectares of very old, low-yield vineyards cultivated on sandy soils.

Arindo 2024 is a white wine from the D.O. Rueda, friendly and brimming with freshness, which stands out for its pleasant finish. Its elegant floral and ripe fruit notes, along with its balanced and well-structured palate, pair perfectly with boiled seafood, shellfish, fish, salads, white meat, and semi-cured cheeses.

Creators' opinion

The winery

The Gil Family established Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya in 2008 together with Enrique Busto. The winery and its vineyards are located in the southeastern area of the denomination, in the province of Segovia, and the technical direction is led by Australian winemaker Belinda Thomson.

Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya produces the wines Arindo, Shaya, and Shaya Habis, using grapes from 30.5 hectares of very old, low-yield verdejo vineyards (many of them ungrafted). The vines are bush-trained and planted in sandy soils covered with pebbles. Winemaker Belinda Thomson states that the wines from Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya “faithfully reflect the terroir they come from and are crafted to age well over time”.
