General Information

Antinori Vermentino 2022 is born on the Tuscan estate of Guado al Tasso, owned by the Antinori group. Here, the vermentino variety vineyards are embraced by a coastal area surrounded by rolling hills that shield the region from northwestern winds. This location, under a temperate microclimate with the influence of sea breezes, promotes the perfect ripening of the aromatic Italian grape. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are gently pressed and vinified separately. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 16ºC. The best batches are blended and aged for a few months in steel before bottling.

Tenuta Guado al Tasso is a winery of the family-owned Antinori group, which has been dedicated to winemaking for over 600 years, since 1385. This estate is located in the small but prestigious D.O.C. Bolgheri, on the coast of the Alto Maremma, 100 km from Florence. A relatively recent designation -it was established in 1994-, but one that has already gained international recognition. The estate covers 1000 hectares, of which 320 are dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards with different varieties such as cabernet sauvignon, syrah, cabernet franc, petit verdot, and vermentino.

Antinori Vermentino 2022 is a young and fresh version of the traditional white from the Tuscan coast. A white wine that enhances the best qualities of a grape, the vermentino, which thrives in coastal, sunny areas with sea breezes like this one.

Tasting notes

Antinori Vermentino presents a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, clean and bright.

On the nose, it stands out for its excellent aroma of citrus fruits, white flowers, and tropical fruits.

On the palate, it is flavorful, with good persistence of flavors and a fresh and pleasant citrus finish.

The Antinori family has been dedicated to winemaking for over 600 years, specifically since 1385 with Giovanni di Piero Antinori. He became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri (the guild of wine merchants in Florence).

26 generations later, the winery is led by Albiera Antinori, with the support of her two sisters Allegra and Alessia.

The wine group Marchesi Antinori has winemaking projects in the Italian regions of Tuscany, Puglia, Umbria, Piedmont, and Lombardy. Additionally, it owns wineries in other countries such as Chile, the USA, Malta, Hungary, and Romania.

Among its most distinctive wineries is the one located on the Tignanello Estate, in the very heart of the Chianti Classico Denomination of Origin, halfway between Florence and Siena.

This winery boasts over 127 hectares of vineyards, where the family group's philosophy is showcased like nowhere else: blending tradition and modernity. The wines Solaia and Tignanello are prime examples of this. Authentic gems considered two of the most influential wines in the history of Italian winemaking. A symbol that represents the family's craftsmanship through the ages.

The building of the new winery was inaugurated in 2012. With this impressive architectural work, the Antinori family sought to pay homage to the Chianti Classico area, their homeland and the origin of this great Italian lineage. Its design stands out in the Tuscan landscape.

Another noteworthy winery is Guado al Tasso, located on the Tuscan coast near the Italian town of Bolgheri. The winery has over 300 hectares of its own vineyards, situated in a very special area of rolling and rugged landscapes that lead to the sea. This creates a microclimate that allows for the production of very unique and Mediterranean wines that reflect the character of this exceptional land.

Their wines express power, strength, elegance, and balance. A clear example is their Vermentino Bolgheri wine. Guado al Tasso is considered one of the most important wineries on
