Bodegas Briego
Description

Heirs of a wise viticultural tradition, the Benito Hernando brothers -Gaspar, Fernando and Javier- have developed the Bodegas Briego project (1992), placing their wines as faithful representatives of the better riverside character. This is the family responsible for reactivating the wine production of Fompedraza, where their base of operations is erected and where they manage 75 hectares of their own vineyard, made up of some estates grown with vines of red or fine red wine. tempranillo that turn seven decades. A heritage forged after restructuring and recovering old vineyards located in the municipalities of Curiel de Duero, Pe & ntilde; afiel and Fompedraza; and after planting new plots in 1988 that are now three decades old.
The search for the best & lsquo; terroirs & rsquo; of Ribera del Duero for the cultivation of Tempranillo allows Bodegas Briego to have vineyards with different exposures and orientations, both in the valleys and on the slopes (up to 910 meters of altitude). With this recipe based on old vineyards and slow and respectful elaborations, magnificent red wines are born, where time becomes a faithful ally in the achievement of authentic oenological treasures.
