Rosé
Contrary to what a lot of people think, rosés are not made from a mixture of red and white wines. What can be mixed are red and white grapes: rosés are generally produced from red grapes, but a combination of red and white grapes is also allowed. The colour of a rosé wines is less intense than that of red wines because the juice is in contact (maceration) with the skins for a shorter time. The shade of a rosé wine can vary from cherry or raspberry to an orangey or onion-skin pink.
