General Information

De Casta Rosado 2022 is an exquisite, unique and vegan rosé that’s ideal for any time of year. It was inspired by Miguel Torres Carbó, the father of the current president of Bodegas Torres. During several of the trips he made in the 1940s he received suggestions from some of the best winetasters of the period to make a rosé different from those that were then monopolising the market. Years of tests and hard work finally gave rise to De Casta, a blend of enticing aromas and a silky mouthfeel that’s perfect with all kinds of traditional tapas, appetisers and vegetable dishes.

With a winegrowing tradition that dates back to the seventeenth century, the Torres are one of the most important families in the sector both in and outside Spain. Their extraordinary assets – including 1,800 hectares of vineyards in Catalonia alone – and the high quality of their wines, which are present in more than 130 countries, have earned them all kinds of distinctions, including Most Admired Wine Brand of 2018 from English Drinks International magazine. Try their excellent De Casta Rosado 2022.

Tasting notes

Striking strawberry-red colour with purple reflections.

Subtle and seductive nose dominated by fine floral (marsh mallow) and fruity (pomegranate) aromas.

Silky and firm on the palate. Dry, very elegant finish.

The winery

The Torres surname has been linked to winemaking in the Penedès region since the 17th century, although the official founding date of the winery is set in 1870. Generation after generation, this company, based in Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona), has remained in family hands, becoming today, quite possibly, the most well-known Spanish winery in the world, with a presence in over 150 countries. A winery with a portfolio of globally renowned brands.
