The mastery of Bodegas Gramona in the production of great cavas is also reflected in Gramona Ca La Mar 2022, their only natural sparkling white, made with parellada, macabeo, and xarel·lo. With organic certification, it is a refreshing, light, and innovative white dressed with four different labels that illustrate the Mediterranean landscape.

The parellada, the finest and latest-ripening native grape of the Penedès, complemented by macabeo and xarel·lo, stars in Gramona Ca La Mar 2022. The grapes selected by the century-old Catalan house to produce this sparkling wine come from the highest altitude organic vineyards in the D.O., specifically from the Pla de Manlleu, Pontons, Can Ferrer, and Aigua Viva plots.
After harvesting, the winemaking process begins by fermenting at low temperatures and using only the free-run juice. Another characteristic feature of this wine is found in the fermentation process, where Bodegas Gramona uses the same yeasts for both the first and second fermentation. All this aims to achieve the complete assimilation of sugars and a delicate and fully integrated sparkle.
The result is an almost dry, extremely fine-bubbled, organic sparkling white wine that stands out for its good acidity and citrus aroma. Gramona Ca La Mar 2022 is an ideal option as an aperitif, but also as a companion to fresh salads, seafood, and fish.
Visually, it stands out for its straw yellow tone with bright edges.
On the nose, it has a marked floral and fruity character: aromas of daisies, green apple, lime peel, over a background of fresh grass (césped).
The entry on the palate is fresh and light. Very fine carbonic and sustained and lively acidity enhance the sensation of freshness and invite you to take the next sip.
Ca la Mar always surprises. It moves lightly and pleasantly on the palate, its fine bubbles are a joyful tickle that brings freshness. Its floral and fruity character, with notes of daisies, green apple, and lime peel, makes this wine a must-have to enjoy good weather and good company.
The Gramona family represents five generations of winemakers. Since the mid-19th century, they have been working their lands in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia (Barcelona), and today they produce sparkling wines under the prestigious Corpinnat quality label, as well as still wines under the umbrella of the D.O. Penedès. Few wineries have made such significant contributions in recent years to elevate Spanish sparkling wines to the level of the great champagnes.
The sparkling wines of Gramona, crafted by Jaume Gramona, one of the foremost experts on bubbles in our country, achieve remarkable levels of elegance and are characterized by their extended aging periods. These sparkling wines, which garner prestigious international accolades, are made following artisanal processes: natural cork stoppers during aging, riddling racks for clarification, and manual disgorgement.
The Gramona family operates under a biodynamic philosophy across approximately 303 hectares. Of these, 72 hectares are owned by the family, while the rest come from Aliances per la Terra, a viticulturist association founded in 2015 and led by Gramona, which adheres to environmentally respectful practices. In 2014, Gramona obtained the Demeter certification, which guarantees biodynamic farming and winemaking for each wine. A few years later, in 2018, it became the first winery on the Peninsula to receive the BIODYVIN biodynamic certification. The Biodyvin label is a highly demanding certification, specific to the wine sector worldwide, and certifies biodynamic practices in both viticulture and winemaking (winery).
