This collection brings together three gems for lovers of Ribera del Duero wines that you’ll only find here because they’re exclusive. The first, Áster Finca El Caño Reserva 2020, is the latest vintage of one of our customers’ favourite Riberas, made by Áster (La Rioja Alta, SA group). It’s marvellously intense and elegant and is even better than all the previous vintages. Next comes Keltoi Crianza 2022, a wine that embodies the essence of Tempranillo grown in the province of Burgos. Lastly, Gran Solorca Reserva 2021 is a red from an Excellent vintage that’s notable for its extraordinary balance between notes from barrel ageing and the character of ripe fruit. General Information
Áster Finca El Caño Reserva 2020 comes from the ‘château’ winery Áster, owned by the prestigious La Rioja Alta, S.A. group. It was created from Tempranillo grapes selected from an exceptional estate: El Caño. It’s always a privilege for our winemakers to be able to select this wine, which has become one of our club members’ favourites year after year. It’s got the personality you all look for in a Ribera with extra concentration and intensity, but without losing an iota of elegance. This vintage was furthermore rated as Excellent in the Denominación.
Ébano Viñedos y Bodegas is one of our biggest hits in recent years. Thanks to our friendship with its founder, Carlos Gómez, we’ve been able to offer you several wines from this firm exclusively since 2018. The latest is Keltoi Crianza 2022, a well-structured, pleasant, mouth-filling, long and fresh Tempranillo. It was grown on the vineyards the winery owns in the municipalities of Gumiel de Mercado and Quintana del Pidio in the province of Burgos, an exceptional location.
Last but not least, Gran Solorca Reserva 2021 was designed from vineyards located in what is widely regarded as the best part of the Denominación, in the villages of Roa and La Horra (Burgos), and comes with the guarantees of an Excellent-rated vintage. It’s potent, fleshy and very well structured, with smooth, elegant tannins. Long finish with pleasant fruity notes.
