General information

Rioja, Reserva and CVNE, the perfect combination for an incredible price

Make the most of this opportunity to buy it for a unique price. Don’t miss out on this wine – you won’t regret it.

The first vintage of Cune Club Reserva was created to celebrate the historic achievement of CVNE’s Imperial Gran Reserva 2004, the highest distinction to which a wine can aspire: it was chosen by the Wine Spectator magazine as the best wine in the world in 2013. In fact, CVNE’s history has been marked by a constant string of successes, vintage after vintage, throughout its 140 years of existence.

Cune Club Reserva 2016 expresses what CVNE is: a staple. One of those wines to keep stocked up on because you can’t go wrong with it. A blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo, it’s an excellent example of the new classical style in Rioja as it fully respects the local winemaking tradition but caters to modern market tastes, with more fruit in the mix.

CVNE: masters of wine

CVNE is one of the century-old wineries based in Haro’s legendary station district. With more than 135 years of history under its belt, the firm has successfully combined tradition and innovation to create wines that are foremost among the Rioja reds and have delighted international critics. Since its creation, it has progressively added to its assets and expanded by establishing cutting-edge wineries during different periods of its history, such as Viñedos del Contino and Viña Real.

Tasting Notes

Profile sheet Cune Club 2016

Attractive cherry-red colour with slightly brick-red hues in the edge, bright and brilliant.

Subtle, elegant spicy notes (vanilla and cinnamon) and toasty and smoky notes give way to hints of jammy red fruit with a pleasant balsamic finish of liquorice.

Nicely rounded, balanced and tasty; elegant, polished tannins make it pleasant to drink with good tactile sensations. Abundant notes of ripe fruit and oak from ageing. Complex, lingering finish (spicy and fruity notes).
