General information

From the creators of Pesquera: their new red en primeur and for the best price

Be one of the first to enjoy this sensational organic red from one of the most important families in the Spanish wine world, for the best price.

Condado de Haza is regarded as the largest chateau in the whole of Ribera del Duero, with nearly 200 hectares of vineyards surrounding the winery building. It was founded 25 years ago by the Fernández Riveras, a foremost family on the Spanish wine scene and the creators of Tinto Pesquera, one of the most highly valued Spanish wines.

Vinoselección bring you the first vintage of a red created to celebrate Condado de Haza’s 25th anniversary: 20 Aldeas 2018. It is made wholly from Tempranillo grapes that were picked by hand and aged in American oak barrels – the traditional recipe for all this family’s reds. But this one comes with an added bonus: it has been produced according to organic family standards to enhance the expressiveness, elegance and complexity of the Tempranillo grapes.

Tasting Notes

Profile sheet 20 Aldeas 2018

Gorgeous shade of vivid cherry red, very good depth of colour.

Highly intense aromas with notes of very ripe black fruit (blackberries and blackcurrants), fine woods (cedar) and dairy hints of yoghurt whey, vanilla and nutmeg.

Tasty, meaty and very well structured, with excellent tannins that give it a big, full, voluminous mouthfeel. Excellent, lingering finish with notes of black plum.

PAIR WITH: Roast suckling lamb or char-grilled T-bone steak.
