General information

The latest Riojan heir

The Martínez Bujandas are one of the most highly respected Spanish families in the wine world. The Club invites you to enjoy their latest creation, a marvellous red made from a single grape variety.

Involved in the wine sector since 1889, the Martínez Bujanda family established themselves on the Finca Valpiedra estate in one of the best areas of Rioja. From there they have built up one of the strongest and most attractive enterprises in the D.O.Ca. Rioja and today they promote a unique concept of this region’s wines – modern and made from carefully selected grapes grown on their own vineyard which they manage.
br> Viña Bujanda is the family’s latest initiative. It is an independent concern but based on the same philosophy and the same strict standards handed down over the years: carefully monitored grape cultivation, harvesting by hand, selective sorting on tables, and painstakingly made wines aged in the finest American and French oak barrels. Viña Bujanda Graciano 2014 is produced wholly from a grape variety that is chiefly used to enhance the dominant Tempranillo in this region.

Tasting Notes

Profile sheet Viña Bujanda Graciano 2014

Displays an attractive, very deep cherry-red colour.

Deep, complex nose with subtle aromas of red fruit (blackberry and cranberry) and hints of patisserie, cocoa, chocolate, balsam and fine woods.

Excellent balance in the mouth, with a big, tasty and lively mid-palate. This is a moreish wine with subtle, perfectly integrated tannins and a long finish that subtly combines varietal aromas with delicious notes of wood.
