Buy wine from Matarromera

Bodegas Matarromera

Carrying on the winemaking tradition of his Castilian ancestors, Carlos Moro made his dream come true when he founded the Matarromera winery in Valbuena de Duero (Valladolid) in 1988 with a clear aim in mind: to create quality wines using the most advanced technology, while respecting traditional methods. The main challenge Carlos Moro took up was to use new barrels for ageing his wines, back then a novel initiative in the region. Another key to Matarromera’s immediate success was its excellent vineyards located in Ribera del Duero’s “golden mile”. Today, a quarter-century on, Carlos Moro continues to devise projects and make increasingly sophisticated wines.
