Bodegas Fariña

Founded in 1942 by Salvador Fariña, Bodegas Fariña started out as a rudimentary cellar dug out of calcareous earth in Casaseca de las Chanas in the province of Zamora. In 1987 the enthusiasm and enterprise of his son Manuel Fariña made this winery one of the driving forces of the D.O. Toro and led Manuel to become the first president of its regulatory board. That year the construction of modern new facilities in Toro set the firm in good stead for the new market situation and marked the start of a new period in its life.
