Description

Bodegas El Nido

The wine which Robert Parker fell in love with. A red wine designed for the glory that was able to get the best from old vines of local grape Monastrell. It was prepared under the name of El Nido.

The fabulous weather, the characteristics of the soils and the application of modern technologies have given results of superb wines.

Bodegas El Nido was born in 2001 as a dream of a few visionaries (Family Gil Vera, Spanish wine importer Jorge Ordonez and Australian winemaker Chris Ringland) who found Monastrell in the Jumilla - a good point to start your adventure. In a few years, El Nido became a world leader in quality. The low production and high demand for the wines of the winery (El Nido and Clio) have helped to increase the interest of the national and international customers - thanks to the wines from the cellar.

Bodegas El Nido has been designed to develop. It is located on the site of the Aragona, north of Jumilla. The Monastrell vineyards (32 hectares) and Cabernet Sauvignon (12 hectares) are planted on small independent plots. The terroir is the main treasure of the winery, its his secret of quality. Bodegas El Nido is presented in over 35 countries on four continents, in main mature markets of the world.
