Description

Bodega Castillo de Cuzcurrita

The century-old Señorío de Cuzcurrita winery is located the privileged Rioja Alta subzone which has a continental climate with Atlantic influence and ferrous-clay soils. In 1999 its new owners (the Bergé family) began a complete overhaul of the facilities, improving and modernising the firm’s winemaking techniques. It currently owns 7.5 hectares of vineyards more than 40 years old inside the walled enclosure of the castle and other estates in the same municipality, totalling 25 hectares. Its wines are faithful to the winegrowing tradition of the estate but are also proof of the high levels of quality that can be achieved from its unique vineyards.
