The early 70s marked the beginning of a political transition and period of economic development in Spain. In these circumstances the Italian Massimo Galimberti, a wine lover and connoisseur, arrived in the country and immediately realised the shortcomings of the Spanish wine scene. The market for fine wine was still very limited and distance selling was practically unheard of. In order to break through these barriers, in May 1973 Massimo Galimberti set up VINOSELECCIÓN, the country’s first wine club, with the aim of promoting and publicising fine wine and delivering it straight from the winery to club members’ homes. This formula soon caught on among wine lovers who were eager to learn about a product that was just starting to experience an extraordinary boom.

At the end of the 80s a number of experimental activities led to VINOSELECCIÓN’s international launch. Today thousands of club members living in Britain, Germany and the Netherlands receive the same wines as their Spanish counterparts straight from the winery.
| DISCOVERING THE WORLD OF WINE |

Knowing, discovering and distributing the best of what the wine world has to offer is VINOSELECCIÓN’s raison d’être. Behind this arduous task is a large team of oenologists, grape growers and expert sommeliers, who make available to club members a broad range of possibilities, such as the purchase of exclusive wines (made by different wineries on the advice and under the supervision of the Club’s technical team), the acquisition of limited-edition wines or purchases of wines “en primeur” (before they are released on the market).

Members can acquire wines as subscribers or non-subscribers.
Being part of Vinoselección only means that you will receive information about our Club and our wines. Throughout the year you will be sent a variety of wine offers containing complete information on the wines presented.
Being a member of Vinoselección is completely free. We do not charge any membership fee, nor are you obliged to purchase any given quantity.
Orders can be placed on Internet, by post, fax, e-mail or telephone and we endeavour to deliver to you within 15 days after receiving your order
All products advertised are quoted with final prices. That means there are no hidden charges –all delivery costs, VAT and excise duties are included.
Payment can be made by Credit Card (VISA or Mastercard) or using a standard British cheque within 5 days of receipt of your order
A personal client number will be assigned to you. It is also your identification code to register online.
If you become a subscriber to the Month’s Selection:
- you receive our Month's Selection brochure 6 times a year and a quartely brochure containing many interesting offers and extensive information about our 100% Spanish wines
- you automatically receive our Month’s Selection (6 times a year in a 12 bottle case). It consists of 6 bottles of each of the two wines presented. In case you do not wish to receive a Month’s Selection, you can cancel or modify it before the given date.
- you periodically receive interesting special offers.
As a non subscriber:
- you receive our Month´s Selection letters, 11 times a year, informing you of the Month´s Selection.
- you only receive the wines you explicitely order.
- you periodically receive interesting special offers.
The Month´s Selection are selected wines that VINOSELECCIÓN offers its members and that have been selected and previously tasted by the Technical Department. The Selections of the Month can be purchased by advance reservation. Members decide whether to subscribe to this option.
Subscribers will receive the different selections automatically without having to order each one separately. Members are fully entitled to cancel their order if, after reading about the selection they decide it is not to their liking.
Together with the information of the Month´s Selection, you will be offered a complete range of wines such as our Masterpieces, White Wines, Recommendations and "House Wines".

The Club provides personalised services to its members, including the handling of orders and complaints as well as technical advice on any product. It also guarantees the quality of its products by immediately changing or reimbursing members for any order they are not entirely satisfied with.

VINOSELECCIÓN delivers all orders to its customers’ homes through its extensive distribution network that covers the whole of the UK. It also has logistics centres in Germany, Britain and the Netherlands which are equipped with all necessary technology to ensure the wine is kept in optimum storage conditions.

We sometimes offer you a wine before it is released on the market. Members acquire a wine that is still undergoing barrel ageing at the winery and will be delivered to their homes when it becomes a Crianza, Reserva or Gran Reserva.
