General information

The latest discovery from Ribera del Duero

The creation of Bodegas Viyuela in 2003 brought a breath of fresh air to the well-established D.O. Ribera del Duero. This family-run firm has become one of the region’s main driving forces. Viyuela Crianza 2016, one of the mainstays of the new Ribera del Duero, is a magnificent Tempranillo varietal notable for its intensity and balance.

Bodegas Viyuela is located in Boada de Roa, south of Burgos, in a traditional setting with a summer landscape of verdant vineyards dotted with the towers of the Castilian villages. It is a unique enclave nestled in the heart of Ribera del Duero with an extreme climate of hot summers and cold winters that causes the grapes to ripen in perfect balance. This firm was established in 2003 by José Ángel González Viyuela, a native of this village in Burgos.
