The best expression of classicism

Sagasta Reserva 2014 is a classic-style high-end Rioja made by a leading name in Rioja: Olarra. Tasty, balanced and well-structured, it is full of nuanced flavours and strikes a balance between toasty and spicy notes and the weight of ripe red fruit.

Bodegas Olarra is an example of work well done in Rioja, a leading winery that stands for the most traditional values. It has been one of the best rated firms in this D.O. for a number of years and has picked up a slew of awards for wines such as Añares Reserva and Cerro Añón Crianza. It was chosen as the best Spanish winery at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) held in London in 2013 and at the Berliner Wein Trophy in 2015. Sagasta Reserva 2014 is the embodiment of classicism – which never goes out of fashion

Established in Logroño in 1973, Bodegas Olarra is a leading winery on the national scene and is always a safe bet. It is notable for the huge qualitative leap it has made in recent years by combining cutting-edge techniques with traditional Riojan winemaking and ageing methods. Bodegas Olarra obtains first-class ingredients from its own vineyards and through agreements with the best grape growers and has plenty of experience working with oak barrels to ensure that the wines attain their highest expression.

Sagasta Reserva 2014 (D.O.Ca. Rioja) is perfect with stewed pulses such as green kidney beans with oxtail or white kidney beans with partridge. Also good with rice with rabbit.
