Tasting Notes

Profile sheet Montecillo 2011

A beautiful ruby red colour with a soft russet rim and medium intensity, bright and lively to the eye.

Fragrant nose, with notes first of clove and vanilla, ushering in an elegant touch of pipe tobacco with a hint of aniseed, dairy and American oak (coconut), finishing elegantly with memories of cherries and red cranberries.

In the mouth it is elegant and rounded, pleasant on the palate, with excellent acidity which gives it that vivacity and expression with a lot of hints of ripe red fruits. Good final persistence, marked by spicy and smoky notes.

This Rioja Reserva is perfect for accompanying dishes such as escalopes of veal sirloin in a red wine sauce, or rice with organic chicken.
